Supre Tanning accelerators
Tanning accelerators contain active compounds which increase the amount of melanin in your skin, enabling a faster, deeper and darker tan for your UV exposure.
All Supre accelerators combine fast action tanning with moisturisers and essential nutrients for the skin. Our wide range of products allows you to tailor your sessions to suit your needs, lifestyle and budget.
Some products contain additional self activating bronzers, perfect for getting your legs up to speed with the rest of your tan.
We care about your skin
It is important for you as an individual to know how sensitive your skin is to UV light. The more sensitive your skin is, the less sun exposure you should get. Always remember that you should avoid over-exposure. Taking precautions to tan at a proper rate will minimize your risk of sunburn.
Why use a tanning accelerator?
When you use a tanning accelerator it will…
• |
Minimise your exposure to UV light by speeding up the tanning process
|
|
|
• |
Replace lost Vitamins and Minerals |
|
|
• |
Ensure your tan is maintained longer |
|
|
• |
Softer skin allows UV light to penetrate with greater ease, allowing the body to produce melanin. Dry skin can trap UV light |

Type |
Skin Characteristics |
Recommended Tanning Frequency |
1. |
Porcelin white skin that burns easily and rarely tans. Red or blond hair with blue or green eyes and freckles. |
This skin type should avoid sun exposure both indoors or out. This skin type is unable to produce enough melanin to protect them from sunburns that can lead to skin damage. We recommend spray tanning only. |
2. |
Light coloured skin, which burns easily. Can tan with repeated exposure to sun but susceptible to sunburn. Blonde or red hair, brown or blue eyes and freckles. |
This skin type can be exposed to indoor tanning rays in moderation and in very short periods of exposure. Extreme caution should be taken to avoid sunburn. We recommend spray tanning. |
3. |
Tans gradually but still susceptible to moderate sunburn. Brown eyes and darker hair. Most common skin type in Australia |
This skin type can expect a medium golden tan, indoor or outdoors, when exposed 10 to 15 minutes 2 - 3 times per week (indoor tanning). |
4. |
Tans easily and almost never burns. Dark eyes, dark hair and Mediterranean or Oriental heritage. |
This skin type can be exposed to tanning rays for longer periods of time (both indoors and outdoors). |
5. |
Rarely burns and tans easily and cumulatively. Dark hair and eyes and are of Indian or African descent. |
This skin type can be exposed to tanning rays for longer periods of time (indoors and outdoors). |
6 |
Dark skin, most Type 6 skins have an African or Aboriginal ancestry. Skin never burns. |
This skin type usually tans indoors for the health benefits of moderate exposure to sunlight and/or medical reasons.
|
When you are outdoors, always protect yourself from the sun. If you don't know how long you will be out in the sun, don't risk sunburn, wear suitable clothing to cover up and use sunscreen. |
